Hello, I’m Shannon. I live in Indianapolis with my husband, Alan, and two pups, Scooter and Oscar (who you will read all about throughout the course of this blog).
I started this blog during a reprieve from employment. I’ve always wanted to blog but have always been too self conscious to put myself out there. Fortunately, I have found that the older I get, the less concerned I am with judgment from others. I’ll know I’ve truly arrived at total judgement indifference when I can actively participate in karaoke, but I’m not there yet.
I started this blog with the hope of writing about gift-giving as a material measure of building authentic relationships, but over time I’ve found that to be too narrow a premise and probably a bit too self-serving. Today, the blog is broader and focused more generally on things about which I am curious and information that I think would be of interest or helpful to others. I may still throw some gift ideas out there from time to time, but I’ve come to believe that the time we spend with one another and the experiences that we share are a better measure of the depth of relationship.
